The Invisible follows Nick as he is brutally beaten by a group of school bullies including his sullen, alienated classmate Annie Newton (Margarita Levieva) and left for dead. While his disappearance draws the attention of local detectives and his mother Diane (Marcia Gay Harden, Into the Wild) is driven mad with worry, Nick is stuck in a state of metaphysical limbo.

Neither alive nor fully dead, Nick is invisible to almost everyone as his spirit roams the world of the living. Desperate to lead detectives to his dying body, Nick's time on earth is slowly running out and his one and only hope for life now lies with Annie...
